The Ballwin Police Station brings modern architecture and thoughtful landscape design together across three levels of functionality. Native plantings pair with organic and industrial materials to reflect the working relationship between the Ballwin Police Department and the community it serves: stone grounds the site in stability and resilience, while wood accents bring warmth and a sense of welcome. The building is oriented to capture passive solar gain from the south, and the surrounding landscape is arranged to buffer harsh winds from the north.

Site design balances security with accessibility. A generous surface parking lot serves the station's daily needs and provides access to a subterranean garage below, which houses secure staff parking, storage, K9 amenities, and a designated storm shelter, reinforcing the station's commitment to safety and preparedness for the officers and community it protects.
