DG2 Design partnered with a multidisciplinary team and BJC Healthcare to design the Children's Specialty Care Clinic in Wentzville, Missouri. DG2 worked collaboratively with the project team to evaluate multiple site layouts, determining the optimal arrangement for the building, parking, circulation, and pedestrian connections before turning to the details of the outdoor experience.

With the site plan established, DG2 shaped a welcoming, engaging environment through interactive art wall panels, colorful animal sculptures, and layered plantings selected for texture, color, and seasonal interest throughout the year.

A special loop walk winds through the southeast corner of the 14-acre site, threading through a proposed pollinator prairie to create a calm area of respite for patients, families, and staff. That same prairie landscape doubles as a natural, colorful backdrop to the site's prominent monument sign, weaving wayfinding and identity into the landscape itself.

As with DG2's broader healthcare work, the design centers on a comforting arrival experience, with outdoor spaces that also give staff a restorative place to reconnect with nature amid the demands of pediatric care.
