Krity DeGuire, PLA

President & Landscape Architect

Kristy DeGuire is the President and a Landscape Architect at DG2 Design in St. Louis. Since founding the firm in 2011, Kristy has led DG2 with a clear mission: to design accessible, people-centered landscapes — including playgrounds, parks, healing gardens, and greenways — that are environmentally responsible and thoughtfully crafted to be both beautiful and functional. Trained as a playground safety inspector, Kristy brings specialized expertise to creating safe, engaging outdoor spaces throughout the St. Louis region.

Kristy envisioned DG2 as more than a traditional design practice. She built the firm around a culture that values professional growth, collaboration, and mutual support—where team members can thrive in their careers while remaining present for their families and communities. That same philosophy extends to DG2’s partnerships and projects, fostering meaningful collaboration and a shared commitment to stewardship of the land.

With a strong educational foundation and extensive professional experience, Kristy has guided projects across the St. Louis region and beyond, earning multiple awards and honors for her work. Her leadership reflects a deep belief in accessible, inclusive design and in landscape architecture’s power to positively shape communities.

Outside of the office, Kristy enjoys spending time with her family, working in her garden, or at their property in Wisconsin, drawing inspiration from nature and the everyday landscapes that influence her design approach.
