Catawissa, MO
DG2 Design teamed with Tao +Lee Associates to transform a former llama farm into a beautiful nature-focused event space which includes a historic stone house and a soaring contemporary building designed by Tao + Lee. The Venue at Maison du Lac is situated on a former llama farm in Catawissa, about 40 miles outside of St. Louis, and is a destination venue for weddings and receptions, corporate retreats and more.
The event space sits on a 25-acre countryside property and features new and renovated structures, such as the Maison du Lac stone home built in 1843, as well as a 300-seat banquet hall with lakeside views. The venue design frames views throughout the 25 acres, including the prairie landscape, the woodlands and the Catawissa Stone House, all while overlooking the 4 acre lake and hillside beyond. A repurposed barn, trails and lake edge access provide multiple ceremony sites. The Venue at Maison du Lac was a vision between all parties involved, including DG2 Design’s master plan concept. You can now have your wedding or event at a destination that is unique to the St. Louis Area.
