Kristy DeGuire is the “DG” (design guru / firm leader) of DG2 Design. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in landscape architecture and is a registered landscape architect in Missouri. She has completed the course as a certified playground safety inspector which aids her in designing safe playgrounds.

Prior to founding DG2 Design, she worked for almost a decade with a multidisciplinary design firm where she led the planning and landscape architecture team. While there, Kristy received multiple awards and honorable mentions for her work.

Her educational background, professional experience, and history of creating award-winning outdoor spaces are the tip of the iceberg that comprises Kristy’s qualifications as a firm leader and landscape architect.

When not working, you can find Kristy at home in her garden.

Sara coordinates the details on a variety of projects, specifically from the landscape architects and civil engineers.

She graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and provides quality assurance and quality control reviews of construction documentation and specifications before issuing the final product to project clients.

When she’s not working, you’ll most likely find her on a tennis court and will occasionally see her taking a walk in Kirkwood, biking the Gravois Greenway, or golfing. On a summer weekend you might find her at the lake soaking in the sun and reading a good book.

Mimi chose DG2 Design because she appreciates the effort the team puts into local communities through ecological and educational landscape design. Her favorite part of every project is seeing the team’s ideas become real-life renderings or construction drawings and seeing the project at completion.

She holds a master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is accredited with the American Society of Landscape Architects.

When not working, Mimi enjoys baking with her two cats Mao and Chopchop, hiking, and crocheting.

Derek has a passion rooted in his deep appreciation for thorough analysis, resulting in creating spaces that enrich peoples’ lives. His project experience includes streetscapes, parks, healthcare, and education campuses, along with dynamic urban spaces.

I love thinking about the “big picture,” even on projects that are only several thousand square feet. Regardless of scale, every thought and articulated detail has an impact on a larger system.

Derek’s experience includes collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams and providing project management. He has been instrumental in his various projects, recognized with several design awards throughout his career.

Derek has a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University and is active within the St. Louis chapter of ASLA, having served as Chapter President 2017-2020.

When out of the office, Derek enjoys spending time with his wife and family (including his dog Bella), relaxing outdoors, and coaching his son’s various sports teams.

Bingqing’s interest in landscape architecture started in the vibrant and diverse spaces in her childhood neighborhood, which offered places for walking, exercising, meditation, gathering, and nurtured her connection with nature. She believes that everyone deserves a safe and healthy living environment like the one she grew up in.

To pursue this vision, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan.

After a few years of working in hospitality and high-end residential design/planning, she wants to shift focus toward public serving and accessible projects, such as education, public parks, streetscapes, and urban planning.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, and swimming.

Jeff Davis is a Senior Designer and Landscape Architect at DG2. His role involves leading planning and landscape architecture projects within the studio by lending creative insights and solutions
that seek to connect people with nature. His award–winning work has benefited people and their communities across the globe.

As a designer at DG2, Jeff perpetuates relationships with clients through creative solutions, responsiveness, and respect for their needs and bottom line. His responsibilities include leading
multidisciplinary teams through the design process, project management, and delivering built projects.

Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from Kansas State University and is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and of the Urban Land Institute. He has been an adjunct professor teaching graduate–level design studios on site planning and landscape architecture at the Sam Fox School of Design at Washington University.

Jeff is a registered landscape architect in Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, and Texas.

Stanford Griffith is the Marketing and Engagement Lead at DG2. This role combines his passion for evidence-based communication, improving the lives of others, conservation, and nature. Stanford has worked with nonprofits, for-profits, economic development engines, art organizations, and healthcare throughout the Midwest and South. He also has experience expanding access, diversity, equity, and inclusion to a wide variety of people and people through multiple ways of including belonging.

As a marketing and engagement leader at DG2, Stanford uses his powers of storytelling and understanding to drive thought and conversation. He enjoys all parts of this process, including discovery, planning strategy, content creation, refinement, execution, and analysis. Stanford earned two degrees in storytelling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and further refined his skills at the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri – Columbia.

When he’s not working, you’ll often find Stanford at home playing the piano, reading in front of the fireplace, or in the kitchen using the art of cooking or the science of baking. He also enjoys walking the Great River Greenway trail he lives on and is described as a life-long learner as he’s always taking a class (or four) to expand his skills.

Jeremiah is deeply committed to public engagement, ensuring every voice is heard. As a disabled Marine Corps veteran who has used a wheelchair for eighteen years, he brings a unique empathy and understanding to his work, advocating for the needs and perspectives of others.

Jeremiah thrives in connecting with people during meetings and stays up-to-date with the latest software to effectively document and engage with communities, citizens, and stakeholders.

Ryan holds a master’s in accounting from the University of Nebraska. With a strong analytical background, he manages financial operations and human resources, playing a key role in driving the company’s growth and success.

Outside of work, Ryan enjoys hiking, biking, and playing pickleball.

Millie is dedicated to spreading happiness at the office and some site visits! Every day, she makes it a point to come to the office and ensure that everyone has a better day.
