Year-End Wrap-Up: Reflecting on 2025

As we close out 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on a year that was both successful and challenging and ultimately deeply rewarding. We are incredibly grateful for our clients, collaborators, and partners who trusted us with their projects and helped make this year what it was. Your support, patience, and shared vision continue to inspire our work.

If there’s one theme that defined 2025, it was time spent in the field. From early site walks to construction observations and ribbon cuttings, our team logged countless hours outdoors, where landscape architecture truly comes to life. Several projects moved from drawings to built reality this year, and it was a joy to celebrate those milestones alongside our clients and communities. Other projects are still underway, with teams carefully fine-tuning details that will ensure long-term success. And, as always, there were a few projects we hoped would have kicked off this year that didn’t quite cooperate, reminding us that patience and persistence are part of the process.

Each of these projects reflects our commitment to thoughtful design, community impact, and creating spaces that nourish, restore, and connect. Celebrating these openings—often with ribbon cuttings and community events—was a highlight of the year and a meaningful reminder of why we do this work.

Growing the DG2 Team

This year also brought exciting growth to the DG2 team. We were thrilled to welcome three talented individuals:

  • Jeff Davis, who joined us in January
  • Stanford Griffith, who came on board in March
  • Ethan Fey, who supported the DG2 crew as an intern from January through August

Each brought fresh energy, skills, and perspectives, strengthening our team and our work. We’re thankful for their contributions and the role they played in shaping 2025.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we look forward to 2026, we’re filled with anticipation and gratitude. The coming year marks DG2’s 15th anniversary, a milestone we’re incredibly proud of. We’re also excited about the many projects anticipated to move into construction, along with new opportunities to collaborate, learn, and grow.

Thank you for being part of our journey, whether as a client, partner, consultant, or community member. We look forward to continuing the work together in the year ahead.

Cheers to 2025, and onward to 2026.
